Abstract:

This paper reports on an unusual pattern of reproduction observed in females of the large Madagascar free-tailed bat, Tadarida fulminans (Thomas 1903), in Zimbabwe. Tadarida fulminans is a large, high flying free-tailed bat. It is rarely encountered, but widely distributed across the savanna biome of eastern tropical Africa (Smithers 1983).
