Abstract:

The scaling of body weight on length of head and body apparently differs between bats (Chiroptera) and nonvolant mammals. For the countries of Nigeria and Thailand, least-squares linear regressions of log-transformed body weight of bats had significantly shallower (P < 0.01) slopes than did regressions for nonvolant mammals.
